CfMC awarded MRA Celebrated Company honor

San Francisco-based software company CfMC has been awarded the first Celebrated Company Award for outstanding volunteer efforts and support by the Marketing Research Association (MRA).

CfMC, founded in 1967, has been an industry leader in computer-assisted interviewing software. MRA President Jane Cook, announcing the award at the MRA’s annual meeting in Las Vegas, said, “The recipient of this year's Celebrated Company Award has always allowed its employees to be active on both the National and Chapter levels; they seem to have been present at every MRA event for the past 15 years,” Cook “They have served on several committees and task forces,” Cook noted. A CfMC employee currently has served on the MRA national board, and CfMC’s president led the search committee charged with hiring MRA’s executive director.

“This company not only supports MRA but also is a visible supporter of standards and practices in the industry. The staff has always conducted themselves with the highest ethical integrity reflecting well on the entire profession,” Cook added.
CfMC President Richard Rands noted, “It is a great honor for CfMC to be singled out for this distinction by one of the most significant marketing research trade associations.”

CfMC has been a leading provider of marketing research software since the company introduced the first computerized tabulation program in 1967. CfMC products and services include Survent, the most widely used CATI and CAPI software; WebSurvent, a Web survey tool; and Mentor, a full-featured tabulation and reporting system. CfMC also operates two service bureaus for Web survey development and hosting, data entry, programming, coding, and tabulations. CfMC’s logo includes the phrase “Nonstop support.”

Established in 1957, MRA has an international membership that encompasses companies and professionals engaged in all segments of marketing and opinion research, including end users, research and design analysts, data collectors and support service providers. MRA publishes the annual Blue Book Research Services Directory, known as the bible of the opinion and marketing research profession.
