CfMC enriches Service Bureau staff by hiring three and promoting one
CfMC president Richard Rands is pleased to announce that Jerry Pavia, Nathan Kempe, and Rachel Hotopp have joined the CfMC’s Service Bureau staff. Long time Service Bureau employee J.R. Venza has also been promoted to Service Bureau Client Development Manager.
The additions to the Service Bureau staff have been made to meet the growing demand for Service Bureau services such as web survey programming and hosting and survey tabulations.
“Over the past two, the CfMC Service Bureau has seen outstanding growth in the services provided for marketing researchers the world over, ” Adam Berman, VP/Director of Sales & Operations, CfMC Service Bureaus said. “We are excited to have this increased ability to meet the needs of our outstanding client base of research professionals.”
The three new additions the Service Bureau staff have extensive experience programming and managing studies in CfMC software as well as other research packages.
The promotion of J.R. Venza to Client Development Manager will assist in managing the increased volume of professional research clientele including J.D. Power and Associates and many other survey research companies.

Jerry Pavia, webSurvent and Survent programmer
Jerry comes to CfMC after over five (5) years with Flexohiner where he was Data Systems Director. At Flexohiner, Jerry built a profitable 75-station phone room, hired, trained, coached, and managed data processing and phone room staff as well as front-end and back-end survey programming. Prior to Flexohiner, Jerry worked for Maritz Research for 19 years where he was Data Systems Manager.
Nathan Kempe, Mentor and Tabulations programmer
Nathan joins CfMC with over eight (8) years of experience in data processing, most recently serving as Project Director with one of the original Mentor clients, Michael Blatt and Company, Inc. While with Michael Blatt, Nathan programmed complex tables, managed client relationships, and compiled and published both qualitative and quantitative reports. Nathan also holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Concordia University, Irvine, CA.
Rachel Hotopp: Survent and Mentor programmer
Rachel Hotopp joins CfMC after 10 years at Grapentine Company where she was Data Processing Programming Supervisor. At Grapentine, Rachel, was instrumental in the development reports and tabulations in Mentor and CATI surveys in Survent. In addition, she trained and supervised Grapentine's data processing team. Her responsibilities included job assignment and workflow and driving call center operations and web surveys conducting complex factor, discriminate, regression, and conjoint analysis using SPSS Window Advanced Models software.
