resources and updates
ZONETABLE: This is a file receiving type list. Users who subscribe to this list will automatically be e-mailed a new Survent phone system Area Code/Time Zone Table when it is available. Users cannot send any e-mails to this list, except to subscribe or unsubscribe. CfMC requests that users limit subscription to this list to one user per site who is then responsible for dispersing the information to the rest of the users at that site.
This helps reduce the load on our mail server and speed up the processing for those remaining on the list. You can subscribe to any list by sending an e-mail to the list with "subscribe" in the subject. If you are not currently a member of any list a moderator will have to approve your subscription.
BUGLIST: This is a file receiving type list. Users who subscribe to this list will automatically be e-mailed a new bug list on a periodic basis. Users cannot send any e-mails to this list, except to subscribe or unsubscribe.

GETFILES: This is a file-retrieval system through e-mail. Send an e-mail with a subject of "show files" (don't include the quotes and make sure you have the space). The e-mail server will respond with a list of files that are currently available for retrieval.
If you reply to this message and mark the files that you want, it will send you those files as an attachment on a subsequent e-mail. You do not need to subscribe to this list as members of any other list can use this service. This is a great way to get current copies of the documentation, example sets, and the bugs and wishes list. The same set of files is also available on our support download page.
The advantage of this over the download page is a user can get the files they require at any time without contacting us for current password information. The disadvantage is that the files have to go through e-mail so there are some times size limitations or virus scan issues that cause the emails not to get through.
more community discussion lists
ODBC-TALK: This is a discussion list set up for all CfMC users as a forum for posing questions or discussing ODBC issues. CfMC is not directly responsible for the content of questions, answers, or suggestions in any of these e-mails. However CfMC staff members are on the list and will respond with any remarks that they feel are appropriate.
We recommend users always put something pertinent in the subject line of their messages, so that all subscribers can easily track and/or store these messages. File attachments are not allowed on e-mails to this list.
WEB-TALK: This is a discussion list set up for webSurvent users as a forum for posing questions or discussing Web interviewing issues. We recommend users always put something pertinent in the subject line of their messages, so that all subscribers can easily track and/or store these messages. File attachments are not allowed on e-mails to this list. This list basically works the same as spec-talk except only those people interested in Web surveys are on the list.
